Who provides your immigration services, and how to verify it

Under section 91 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, only a lawyer, a Quebec notary, or an immigration consultant licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants may give Canadian immigration advice or represent someone before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a fee. Sahar Ibrahim is licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and is authorized to provide Canadian immigration and citizenship advice and representation in accordance with applicable legislation.

Alexandria Immigration Services provides consultation and representation services relating to temporary residence, permanent residence, and other Canadian immigration pathways. Clients receive independent professional advice tailored to their individual circumstances.

Immigration services are provided independently by Alexandria Immigration Services. Maple Canada Services does not provide immigration advice or representation.

Payment is accepted only in the following ways:

• Bank wire transfer to a corporate account, using the details our team sends you in writing, with a reference code tied to your file.
• Card payment through our payment processor, on a checkout page hosted by that processor.
• For clients in Africa, a hosted checkout page at the link provided by our team.

Payment is never requested through:

• Western Union, MoneyGram or any other cash remittance service.
• Cryptocurrency of any kind.
• Gift cards, vouchers or mobile top-up.
• The personal bank account of an employee, agent or anyone else. Corporate accounts only.
• Any account or link that did not reach you in writing from our team.

Government application fees are set and published by IRCC, and paying them through your consultant is ordinary regulated practice rather than a warning sign. The regulator’s own Client Account Regulation defines a disbursement as an expense the consultant incurs while working for you, “including government processing fees”, which you then reimburse, and it requires money held for a client to sit in a designated client account at a recognised financial institution. Biometrics, medical examinations, language tests, credential assessments, translation and courier work the same way.

What warrants checking is therefore not who transfers the money to IRCC, but the documentation: the amount matches the fee IRCC publishes, it appears on your agreement as its own line rather than folded into a service fee, and the receipt is issued to you. An amount above the published fee, or a government fee you cannot see separately, is what to question.

No consultant, lawyer or service provider can guarantee a visa, permanent residence, an invitation to apply, an approval, or a processing time. Those decisions belong to IRCC alone. Anyone guaranteeing you an outcome is promising something they cannot deliver.
